2024 Connecticut Sun Dance Team

The Sun Dancers are an integral part of the Connecticut Sun game day experience! From doors open to doors closed, you can find the dance team greeting fans, performing high energy routines, executing contests, and hyping up fans in the crowd!

This season, we are looking for versatile dancers with experience in jazz funk, hip hop, traditional jazz and/or pom. Tumbling is a plus.

The contract runs March-September. Dancers should be available for all home games, practices, and appearances upon request. Games will take place in Mohegan Sun, CT. Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Round 1 - In-person Open Auditions

Date: Friday, March 8th

Location: Dancin Spirit- 181 Conant Street. 2nd floor, Pawtucket, RI 02860

Check in: 5:30pm

Audition starts: 6:00pm

What to wear: Women- sports bra top and yoga pants or biker shorts. Men- t-shirt and jogger pants or shorts. No jeans, no sweatshirts, no long sleeve. You may wear jazz shoes or sneakers. Professional hair and makeup. Hair must be down. No big jewelry- stud earrings only. You do not need to cover tattoos. Feel free to bring extra clothing if it gets cold.

What to bring: Resume and 2 non-returnable photos, water, and snacks.

What to expect: The audition process will take you through a short warm up and across the floor combination with basic technique. You will learn a stylized dance combination as well as game day style choreography. Please be prepared to perform a solo of 6-8 eight counts of your own choreography that exemplifies what you do best. Whether it’s tumbling, hip hop, kicks, turns or hyping the crowd, we want to see you and your personality! We will provide the music.

Dancers will be contacted by 3/9, whether or not they will be advancing.

Final Round - Zoom Interviews
For dancers advancing, interviews will take place on 3/11, 3/12 & 3/13 via Zoom.
